“The state team of bureaucrats however failed to live up to the expectations of the Commission as they failed to come up with any innovative scheme or project for J&K’s development before the PCI during the wrap up discussion,” sources privy to the meeting told Greater Kashmir.
Sources said Chaturvedi, who has been himself a bureaucrat as well as a corporate top-notch, was not impressed with the “lame-duck” arguments put forth by the state bureaucracy in its presentation.
“The states like Jharkhand have come up with innovative ideas to move the wheels of economic growth faster. But there is nothing impressive about JK,” sources quoted PC team saying.
“What are your (J&K) plans to deals with the growing energy needs and the ways to tackle it,” the PC team had questioned the state officials.
Sources said though the state team tried to respond to the queries of PCI by citing the J&K’s plans to set up energy projects like Baghliar and Rattle sources the PC team was however unimpressed.
“There is nothing new. We have been listening about these projects for the past many years,” the PC team had responded.
